Don't Grow Weary

Have you ever felt as if people don't appreciate your kind efforts? Ever felt stepped on, trampled? Sometimes, it seems that the more you try to love and help people, the more they seem to throw dirt in your face. I recently had that feeling. How do we get over that feeling? The answer - the Word of God. Galations 6:9 says, "So don’t get tired of doing what is good. Don’t get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time." Colossians 3:23 says, "Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people." So you see, the object of our good deeds is not supposed to be man, but God. The next time you feel unappreciated by your spouse, boss, co-worker, friend, or anyone else, know that your good works are appreciated - by God. He will reward you for what you do. So don't grow weary; keep doing good.

Pastor, WOW what power words to live by. "Don't Grow Weary" was extremely impactful and mind blowing. My new goals are to work to make sure God receives all the glory everyday each day whether work, church or play. When everything is crashing all around you at work remember who I work for will be my new focus, GOD. This message and the scriptures are now my mission statement for work. Thank you for reminding me what is most important when I am at work. Cheery work!

I know this feeling all to well! I began my job with excitement and enthusiasm that words could not express. I worked diligently and proved myself, only by God’s grace, to be loyal to the company and to the people we serve. Even to this day, I love the ministry and the work that I have been called me to do. I work in a ministry that has wonderful potential. I know that I work as unto the Lord or I would have been gone a LONG time ago.
Pastor, maybe you can help me… What do you do when the man of God and the boss throwing dirt in your face are one in the same? I wonder when will the man of God wake up?!?! When will he realize that the Sunday morning man in the pulpit and the Tuesday morning man in the office are the same man? What will it take for him to learn accountability? When will the Christian principles he knows and preaches so well reach the office?
Not growing weary is a wonderful word of encouragement. The word of God is true and God has blessed me more than I have ever deserved. So, I am not weary in well doing but renewed through the word of God. Thanks for the word!

Pastor, thank you for a timely word. It's so easy to forget who we represent.

Believer, don't focus on the boss/man of God. Focus on God Himself. Pray for him, but don't let his issues become issues for you. Just remember that he has to answer to God for himself, and so do you. Again, all that we do must be for the glory of God.

Believer, I can relate to your post. I am going through a very similar situation. I too started my job full of eagerness and enthusiasm but the one thing I kept in mind was that I was there on assignment. I did complete my assignment, but along the way I started to see things that weren't Godly in a place that's supposed to be set apart. But you know someone once told me that when you're chosen you can't work for everybody. Pastor, I'm depending on you to have a Word for me. What do you do when the man who is supposed to be sounding the alarm isn't and warning after warning has come? The man who watches for the souls of others only has dollar signs in his eyes. A man called by the Lord wants to divide his own house and sew seeds of discord. It never ceases to amaze me that a man of God can rightly divide the Word except in his own house. I wonder if the man of God is in a reprobate state? Pastor, I want to understand. The Word of God says in Prov 19:27 The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord. Searching all the inward parts of the belly. His spirit has been revealed and all I see is pride, greed, and manipulation. I just pray that God will have mercy on his soul and others that are connected to him. Thank you for the Word and allowing me to post.

Chosen, thank you for your post. Please re-read my previous response to Believer. I will also encourage you to meditate on Psalm 1:6, "For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish." We must be careful to leave God's business to God. We are only responsible for our own actions, not the actions of others. Don't lose sleep over people who are snoring.
